Community Involvement at Rome Federal Credit Union

Think Rink Renovations
February 2008 donated $1,000.00 to the Think Rink Renovations. The Credit Union is proud to help support our youth and the community.

Bake Sale
March 20th held a bake sale at the Credit Union, to benefit the newly formed Rome Thunderbolts. The employees bake their favorite items and sell them throughout the day to the members.

Utica Rome Chapter Meeting
April 25th the Credit Union hosted the Utica Rome Chapter meeting at the Franklin. CEO Pam Dibble was appointed President of the Utica Rome Chapter.

Booth at the Rome Home Show
April 26th & 27th Booth at the Rome Home Show. Everyone enjoyed handing out freebies and sold raffle tickets for the Thunderbolt Raffle.

Spaghetti Dinner
May 3rd sponsored a Spaghetti Dinner at the Toccolano Club to benefit The Rome Thunderbolts, we raised over $1,000.00. Mayor Brown presented a check to the Thunderbolts during the dinner.

Rome Thunderbolts Opening Game
June 7th Rome Federal Credit Union Day at the opening game of the Thunderbolts, held at Delutis Field. Staff members handed out ice cream in baseball helmets to all the kids. CEO Pam Dibble did the announcing for the game. Everyone had a great time.

Identity Theft Class
June 25th held a class at the credit union for all members on, "How to avoid Identity Theft." We are planning on holding quarter classes for our members.

Honor American's Day Parade
July 26th for the first time the credit union employees participated in the Rome Honor American's Day Parade, it was extremely hot, but everyone had a good time.

Rome Thunderbolts
This year we were the only major sponsor for the newly formed Rome Thunderbolts, we helped with several fundraisers throughout the year. Good news they did on and win the Eastern Collegiate Championship. Good Job Boys!

Clambake
August 13th CEO Pam Dibble helped out at the Rome Police Benevolent Association Clambake. Steaming clams seems to suit her.

"Locked Up" for MDA
August 19th CEO Pam Dibble and Treasurer Denice Golden were "Locked Up" for MDA. The employees helped Pam collect her bail money, which was turned over to the MDA at Applebee's Annual Lock Up. Great Job!
